On September 3–4, our management and admin teams got together to review the progress we’ve made this year, and to talk about our plans for the remainder of 2017. Among the many topics we discussed were customer care, HR and recruitment, sales and marketing, new markets we’re planning to enter, and new services we want to launch.
2017 has been a very eventful year, and we’re excited to share what we’ve achieved so far:
We’re Growing Faster Than Ever
At the beginning of June, the number of developers working in our Kyiv office reached 100. To celebrate the occasion, we held a special Daxx Family Picnic in one of Kyiv’s beautiful parks and had lots of fun at an extreme activity zone.
Our office in Kharkiv is not far behind the team in Kyiv — over 70 employees currently work there, compared to just 35 in 2016.
In total, we now have 259 developers and about 300 employees, making us officially one of the 50 largest IT companies in Ukraine.
New Clients and Exciting Business Trips
In 2017, we embarked upon projects with 58 new businesses. Every week we welcome potential and existing clients who travel to Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro to visit their Daxx teams. We have met with potential clients from the Netherlands, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, and the US.
Since the beginning of the year, our developers and managers have gone on multiple business trips to the Netherlands, France, the US, Germany, Slovakia, and Israel to meet their co-workers and establish new partnerships.
Summer is the perfect season to enjoy the great outdoors, which is exactly what we did at our annual summer parties.
Daxx Kyiv teleported themselves to the tropics for a Hawaiian-themed party. Luckily, Hawaii’s famed tropical storms passed us by, so we could swim in the pool and sunbathe all day long. These weren’t the only activities we enjoyed — there was also a sumo wrestling contest, table tennis and volleyball tournaments, and an epic tug-of-war battle.
Meanwhile, the artsier types busied themselves by creating beautiful hand-painted Daxx T-shirts. The day’s final activity was a game of paintball, which was followed by a spectacular prize giving ceremony for everyone who took part.
The summer party for our team in Kharkiv had a nautical theme, and was jam-packed with amazing activities. Even the bad weather failed to dampen our moods, so we had a great time hanging out by the pool, enjoying delicious food, and playing Kinect Dance Central and Guitar Hero, while the sportier folks among us competed in a synchronized swimming battle.
Daxx Dnipro celebrated its annual summer party with a camping expedition to a pine forest. The event had a Scottish theme, which was reflected by a buzz of friendly rivalry as we formed clans and competed against each other for game money.
The most spectacular quest was the race to build a raft and then sail it along the river in search of a mysterious unicorn. Of course, no Scottish-themed party would be complete without a whisky tasting session. The day concluded with a prize auction, followed by a long night by the campfire.
2017 has been a great year for Daxx so far, and we’re looking forward to see what the end of the year will bring!
